Given the vastness of South America, the course is separated into three topics and will be taught in rotation each time the course is offered. (The course is repeatable and thus may be taken three times.) This will not cause duplication on transcripts as the title of each of the topics will be listed (e.g., Spanish 550 Special Topics: The Andean Countries). Listed below are the three topics: A. Colombia and Venezuela B. TheAndean Countries (Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia) C. The Southern Cone (Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay)
