(3 credits)(Restricted to Junior standing) This course will provide an overview of health care policy issues from a clinical perspective. It will illuminate America's health care system with regard to payment and access to care, reimbursement to care providers, organization of health delivery systems, the health care workforce and education of health professionals, long-term care and medical ethics of rationing care, mechanisms for control costs, and the measurement of care quality. In addition, health care reform and the conflict and change in America's health care system will be examined in relation to the continuum of health care systems of four international nations. S
