Description: This course is focused on reading and writing in the content areas and instructional strategies to support students' literacy development at the middle school and secondary level. Ways in which reading and writing are developed within the learning of discipline-specific curriculum, including adaptations for diverse learners, will be emphasized. Prerequisite: Admission to Teacher Education. Notes: A grade of C or better must be earned, and this course cannot be taken as S/U. Offered in fall, spring, and summer.
