This course is an introduction to fundamental concepts of chemical engineering, including mass and energy balances, PVT relationships for gases andvapors, and elementary phase equilibria; problem-solving and computer skills are developed in the lab. Three hours lecture, two hours laboratory weekly. Prerequisites: CHEM 112, PHYS 212, MATH 142. Four semester hours.
