Introduction to geologic field methods, emphasizing traditional and emerging techniques. Students gain competency in using standard mapping tools, making appropriate measurements, mapping geologic formations found in the Piedmont and Blue Ridge, converting field data to digital format, making geologic maps, and presenting their data in accepted formats.
