Description:
Qualitative research methods and mixed methods in health research, including identification and creation of research problems, the development of designs, actual data collection in healthcare settings, and analysis procedures to address those problems. Includes qualitative-interpretive methods of accessing and analyzing healthcare data, including participant observation/ethnography, case studies and grounded theory. Course addresses the methodological grounding for these methods, some of the methods themselves (through field exercises), and research designs. Preq: HLTH 8210.
