Description: The course examines the developmental characteristics of early adolescents in today's society. In particular, the course focuses on aspects of diversity such as culture, gender, race, ethnicity and exceptionalities. Students will develop the applicable skills and dispositions needed as prospective middle level teachers. Prerequisite: Admission to Teacher Education. Course may not be taken for S/U. A grade of C or higher must be earned. Notes: Offered as needed.
