MATH 6550 - Topics in Geometry

Institution:
Clemson University
Subject:
Mathematical Sciences
Description:
Covers a variety of geometries, such as Euclidean, hyperbolic, projective, and spherical. The intrinsic properties of these spaces, such as their geodesics and isometries, are studied. Other topics include differential geometry of curves and surfaces, Gaussian curvature, and the celebrated Gauss-Bonnet theory linking geometry with topology.
