This course will introduce students to the theories and applications of supply chain engineering. Students will learn about supply chain components and metrics as well as how to develop and solve mathematical models to obtain solutions to supply chain challenges. The course will cover supply chain engineering comprehensively and will include discussions on forecasting, transportation, supplier selection, risk, and globalization. Methods in optimization and simulation will be used to implement and integrate these topics into supply chain decision-making.
