Introductory course designed for students majoring in biological disciplines. Integrates lecture and laboratory and emphasizes a modern, quantitative, and experimental approach to explanations of structure, composition, dynamics, interactions, and evolution of cells and organisms. High school chemistry is recommended. Credit toward a degree will be given for BIOL 1100 or 1030 only. Includes Honors sections. Coreq: BIOL 1101.
