This course is the first in a two-semester methods sequence, and focuses on conceptual issues related to research design, and on examples of an array of data collection and analysis techniques. Topics include the research process, linking theory and methods, conceptualization and measurement, sampling, research design, and research ethics. Preq: JUST 2880 or SOC 2010 or SOC 2020 or SOC 2880.
