Introduction to language arts (other than reading) methods, materials and techniques needed to teach in the elementary school. Assessment and instruction in oral language, vocabulary, spelling, handwriting and grammar with attention to linguistic and cultural diversity. Designed to meet Read to Succeed state requirements. Preq: ENGL 1030 or ENGL 3850; and admission to the professional level. Coreq: EDEL 4881.
