Introductory course in materials science designed primarily for engineering students. Studies the relation between the electrical, mechanical, and thermal properties of products and the structure and composition of these products. All levels of structure are considered from gross structures easily visible to the eye through electronic structure of atoms. Includes Honors sections. Preq: CH 1010 with a C or better. Preq or concurrent enrollment: MATH 1080.
