Addresses the Holocaust through literature, art, architecture, music, and film. Beginning with historical, political, and economic forces that contributed to the Holocaust, course then focuses on highly diverse creative responses to this event - responses that often reflect the difficulties and politics of these commemorative gestures. May also be offered as HUM 4560. Preq: ENGL 2020 or ENGL 2120 or ENGL 2130 or ENGL 2140 or ENGL 2150 or ENGL 2160.
