Description:
Introduction to bacteria, viruses, and eukaryotic microbes. Emphasis is placed on molecular processes of microbes, genetics and metabolism of microbes; diversity of microbes, pathogenic microbes and the human immune response to infection. Three class and three laboratory hours per week. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in BIOL U302. Corequisite: BIOL U330L.
