Description:
The study of the earth's surface and internal processes and resulting rock products. Plate tectonics and the rock cycle will be used as integrating paradigms for observations of current earth processes. Uniformitarianism will be introduced as a means to interpret past earth history based on the distribution of rock products. Three lectures and three laboratory hours per week.
