This foundation course is an introduction to the materials and basic techniques of drawing, with an emphasis on observational drawing. Subject matter will include still life, landscape, portraiture, and the figure portrayed in a variety of drawing media, with the goal of developing visual awareness, the coordination of perceptual and manual skills, and the ability to represent what is seen.
