Description: Lecture and field-based course in which teacher candidates design and implement a management plan in collaboration with the classroom mentor teacher and university instructor. The course focuses on utilizing Functional Behavior Analysis and communication with parents and other caregivers from diverse backgrounds including those living in poverty. Prerequisite: EDCO 350, Admission to Teacher Education Program. Corequisite: EDUC 401 or program area field-based course. Notes: This course requires participation in a pre- and post-semester orientation that follows the school district calendar. Contact the course instructor for specific requirements. A grade of C or higher is required for Teacher Education majors/minors. This course cannot be taken for S/U credit. Approximately 15 hours of field work will be completed for this course.
