An introduction to theoretical mathematics and proof techniques. Topics in logic, set theory, number theory, calculus, and elementary algebra will be used to illustrate some of the methods used in upper-level courses in the major. Students will also learn to use mathematical typesetting software. Corequisite: MATH 231. One semester hour.
