Description:
This course is a study of the structure and functions of the human body in order to prepare coders to extract clinical informaiton from medical records. Emphasis is placed on the proper use of anatomical terms in the medical coding environment. Prerequisites With a grade of C or higher: DVS courses or placement score. BIO 112 or BIO 210 and BIO 211 can be substituted for this course. This course is typically taught only in the fall semester.
