Description: Study of current theory and research on the development of children from conception through middle childhood (12 years). Emphasis will be placed on describing normal development. Biological and contextual mechanisms that facilitate and hinder development in physical, neural, motor, cognitive, language, social-emotional and moral domains will be considered.
