Description: Study of the physical and chemical properties of fibers used for apparel, interior furnishings, and industrial products. Origin, manufacture, and merchandising of textiles are studied from a global and consumer perspective. Notes: Human Development and Family Studies students must earn a grade of C or better and may not elect the S/U option. Offered in Fall. Lab Fee: $30. Prerequisites: Restricted to Human Development and Family Studies majors or minors.
