Description: Expands the knowledge and skill in jewelry and metalsmithing through advanced techniques and the use of alternative materials. Emphasis on individual research, experimentation, and development of personal style resulting in a cohesive body of work. Prerequisites: 6 hours of ARTS 455: Intermediate Jewelry and Metals. Six hours of ARTS 455: Intermediate Jewelry and Metals. All ARTS (3:7) numbered above 375 have a prerequisite of sophomore status or permission of the Chair of the Department of Fine Arts. Notes: Offered in fall and spring. Course may be repeated for a total of 9 credit hours.
