The course emphasizes methods of teaching that are consistent with the intent of the national and state standards. Students will be able to design and implement a program geared towards the achievement of valued health outcomes such as increased physical activity levels. Topics include health-related fitness assessment, personal program development, and instruction based on lifetime activities. A 15-hour field experience is required for this course.
