RED 318. Diagnostic Prescriptive Teaching of Reading (Formerly RED 416). 3(3,0)This course provides the student with a review of causes, assessment and remediation of reading problems. Assessment and remediation are applied to children/youth in the classroom. Students learn techniques and materials used in diagnosis and remediation of reading difficulties. Also, this course provides the student with an opportunity to experiment and/or conduct and in depth study of selected problems, projects or case studies in the teaching of reading. Thirty (30) hours of pre-clinical experiences are required in an appropriate school and/or agency setting. (F,S)
