JOUR 302: Law and Ethics of Mass Media. 3. State and fedaral and statutory and administrative law and the role of the regulatory agencies in mass communication. Special emphasis is given to an investigation of the professional ethic and legal concerns of the working journalist; prior restraint; sheild law; libel; invasion of privacy; and the Freedom of Information Act.
