EET 381. Digital Systems Design and Analysis. 3(3,0). This course covers the following number systems: binary arithmetic; SSI logic gates; Boolean algebra and theorems; K-Map. Q-M procedure, MEV method; logic design using SSI IC chips; logic design using MSI chips; study of arithmetic circuits; Introduction to sequential circuits; flip-flops-truth table and characteristics equation; application of flip-flops-frequency division, counters, and shift registers; design of synchronous sequential circuits; analysis of BJT digital logic circuits and logic families. Prerequisite: Junior standing or consent of instructor. (F,S)
