This is the first in a sequence of courses that includes nomenclature, structure and properties, and reaction mechanisms of basic organic chemistry. (University Transfer) Entry Level Skills: A student should be able to use general chemistry concepts such as: acid/base, thermochemistry, intermolecular forces, structure/bonding, equilibria, kinetics, and stoichiometry. In addition, a student should be able to use mathematical concepts such as: exponential numbers, significant figures, metric (SI) conversions, logarithms, and basic algebra.
