Topics include bus and processor design types (e.g. microprocessor, microcontroller, DSP), codecs, digital circuit power management, real time scheduling, and embedded operating systems. Lab work consists of projects on embedded hardware (e.g. PC-104+). Preq: ECE 2230, 3710 or consent of instructor.
