Description:
Chemical principles including the structure of and energy associated with living matter; quantitative kinetic and equilibrium analysis of chemical and physical processes. The structure and function of biological macromolecules and the molecular basis of inheritance are surveyed. Non-science majors only. Three lecture, one recitation, and two laboratory hours per week. Prerequisite: MATH U120 or higher, except statistics, or higher placement in MATH. Prerequisite or corequisite: CSCI U138 or consent of instructor. Corequsiite: CHEM U109L.
