(Prerequisite BHSV 190 or permission of Instructor.) Exploration of micro and mezzo level interventions in Human Services that engage individuals and small groups. Strategies include: communication skills, interviewing techniques, developing treatment plans, crisis intervention, information and referral processes, brief and long-term treatment, case management, small group and self-help group work. Multicultural and ethical/legal issues will be examined.
