A study of reading and the other English language arts with emphasis on language arts curriculum development, instruction, and assessment, this course will provide preservice and practicing teachers with current research and trends in the field of reading and the language arts. A field-based experience is required. Prerequisites: Formal admission to the Teacher Education Program, ECED 320, and MONT 474. Three semester hours.
