This capstone course explores contemporary sociological perspectives, and competing theoretical approaches to the study and understanding of selected topical areas central to thediscipline, including but not limited to: (1) family and the human life cycle; (2) conformity, deviance, and social control; (3) gender, race, class and structured inequality; (4) policy and change. Prerequisites: SOCI 401 and GPA of 2.25 orbetter in all sociology courses taken. Three semester hours.
