Description:
An introduction to the scientific study of behavior. Topics include research methods and statistics in psychology, nervous system and the brain, sensation and perception, learning, memory, social psychology and behavior disorders. The Honors version of this course is HONS 163. Students may not receive credit for both. Note: One requirement of this course is that students participate in research conducted in the psychology department to obtain experience in psychological research methods. Students who do not wish to participate in research will be offered an equitable alternative activity.
