The course is designed to provide students with an overview on how to identify population-based health needs and develop culturally competent public health programs to address those needs. Students will learn and apply the proces and tools used for public health programming, including needs assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Applications of these concepts in a variety of settings, including but not limited to schools, worksites, health care organizations, and communities will be considered.
