This course creates an awareness of individual risk and the importance of insurance and related products as risk management techniques. Course content focuses primarily on life and health insurance, with a lesser focus on retirement and estate planning. Students develop and understanding of the basic characteristics of risk management tools and strategies, as well as practical competencies in application.
